Funding Areas

Five-Year Commitment

In early 2012, the John Rex Endowment announced its intention to assess its funding areas and focus in order to gain a deeper impact toward its mission.  The result of the assessment was a five-year commitment to four specific funding areas.  We believe these are the most promising spheres for bringing about change and impacting the environment in which children grow. 

Our Plan for Impact, 2013-2018 includes a focus on the following four funding areas:

• Healthy Weight
• Injury Prevention
• Mental Health, Social and Emotional Well-being
• Nonprofit Capacity Building
