Capacity Building Grants Awarded to Three Nonprofits
The John Rex Endowment announces the approval of capacity building grants for Loaves and Fishes Ministry, SAFEchild, and Wade Edwards Foundation and Learning Lab. The three grants total more than $100,000.
Capacity building grants will be awarded in the amount of $38,500 for Loaves and Fishes Ministry, $28,573 for SAFEchild, and $38,500 for Wade Edwards Foundation and Learning Lab.
Capacity building projects supported by the John Rex Endowment may focus on mission, vision, and strategy; governance and leadership; resource development; strategic relationships; internal operations and management; and program delivery and impact.
“We remain committed to providing grant funding to support nonprofits that are working to improve the health and well-being of Wake County children,” said Kevin Cain, president and CEO of the John Rex Endowment. “This funding offers the opportunity for organizations to pause, learn, reflect, and take right action on the challenges they face.”
The John Rex Endowment has invested nearly $1.25 million since October 2009 to support capacity building for 27 local nonprofits.
