Eight Nonprofits Receive Capacity Building Initiative Grants
Eight grants, totaling $186,568, will be funded by the John Rex Endowment through a Capacity Building Initiative. Funding supports projects that aim to enhance an organization’s ability to sustain programs and improve performance. The grants include organizational assessment planning projects as well as capacity building implementation.
Two nonprofits will receive organizational assessment planning grant funds which are designated to help build infrastructure and operations efficiency for long-lasting benefits. The following nonprofit organizations will receive funding:
- Inter-Faith Food Shuttle
- Learning Together
- Alliance of Disability Advocates
- Community Partnerships, Inc.
- Interact
- Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood
- SAFEchild
- Wake Teen Medical Services
“Access to resources which enable nonprofits to engage in planning and capacity building can strengthen the sustainability of important programs in our community,” said Kevin Cain, president and CEO of the John Rex Endowment. “We are committed to making grants through the Capacity Building Initiative to support activities which foster the vital services that community agencies provide for children and youth.”
In the first year of funding the Capacity Building Initiative, the John Rex Endowment has supported 24 grants totaling $327,441.
