As we move into a new chapter, our work remains grounded in a deep commitment to listening, learning, and evolving to advance the social and emotional health and well-being of children and families across Wake County. Stewarding this responsibility requires care, clarity, and a long-term perspective—especially in moments when the landscape around us is complex or uncertain.

Over time, we have seen what becomes possible when governance is grounded in values and guided by community wisdom. The Board of Directors plays a critical role not only in oversight but also in stewardship of the mission, resources, and a long-term vision focused on systems-level change.

As part of our ongoing governance responsibilities, the Board of Directors continues to evolve to support mission and strategy. Effective January 1, 2026, several new members joined the board. We are grateful for their willingness to serve, and for the experience and perspectives they bring to this work.

Each of these leaders brings insight shaped by their work across law, health, advocacy, communications, and community-based leadership. Together with current board and staff leadership, they support a continued focus on strengthening organizations, stewarding relationships, and advancing systems that improve children’s social and emotional health and well-being over the long term.

We are deeply grateful to these new board members, to those who have served before them, and to the many partners and community leaders who continue to walk alongside this work. This is generational work. It requires clarity, courage, care, and a shared commitment to showing up for children and communities in ways that are responsible, transparent, and rooted in trust.
