February is Family Support Awareness Month

This February, we are proud to raise awareness for Family Support Awareness Month (FSAM), highlighting the critical role that home visiting and parenting education programs play in strengthening families, improving child health outcomes, and creating brighter futures for children across North Carolina.
Programs like these deliver incredible value, saving nearly $6 for every $1 invested by addressing social challenges such as child abuse, poverty, and unemployment. Despite this, fewer than 2% of North Carolina’s children who could benefit from these programs currently have access. FSAM is a crucial opportunity to highlight gaps and advocate for solutions.
How You Can Get Involved:
- Follow Us on LinkedIn: Stay updated as we join the conversation around FSAM.
- Follow Positive Childhood Alliance NC: Learn more about their work and events like the Learning & Leadership Summit.
- Share the Messages: Help spread the word about FSAM by downloading the 2025 Communications Toolkit and sharing these vital messages on social media.
While the John Rex Endowment is not sponsoring any FSAM activities, we are attending the Learning & Leadership Summit, hosted by the Positive Childhood Alliance, on March 18-19 in Durham. We look forward to learning and connecting with others who are passionate about strengthening families and communities.
Together, let’s advocate for stronger families and healthier futures.
