Our hearts are heavy.  

The Endowment expresses its sincere condolences to the victims and their families impacted by the horrific acts of violence that occurred in Uvalde, Texas.  

Our hearts and thoughts are also with the teachers, school administrators, parents, caretakers, and community leaders who are doing impossible work and having difficult conversations with children. Please know that you are not alone.  

We are reminded in times like these of our why. Why we wake up every day and partner with organizations that center racial equity and justice to improve the social emotional health of children. We are facing up to trauma, we are addressing social and emotional health, we are being honest with ourselves and our community about the inequities that exist so that we can be the change we mean to see.
